*Reminders*

This upcoming week we will be doing lots of review! I will be doing some report card assessments and testing for reading levels. There will be no new spelling words or story of the week, but we will continue along with our Math Curriculum!

Almost everyone in our class has hit their AR Goal! I know that the kids are really excited for their rewards!

Spring Break is March 20-24 with school resuming on March 27.

If your heading out of town during Spring Break, I wish you all the fun in the world and safe travels! If your enjoying a “Staycation,” I hope you have a blast lounging in your pajamas until noon and sleeping in!

*Reminders for February!*

2/15-2/28

– Thursday at 7 PM is our Beatles Performance! I am not sure of what time they are supposed to be there, I am assuming probably around 6:30, but will update as soon as I know! I can’t wait! They have been practicing so hard all week!

– No school on Monday- President’s Day

-Tuesday, 2/21 are parent-teacher conferences! I am sending home bright yellow reminder notes that have the confirmed conference time on them. Please know that I tried my best to accommodate every ones request, if the allotted time does not work for you, just e-mail me and we can figure out an alternative day/time that does.

– Sock & Underwear Drive continues through the end of February…the 1st grade class that collects the most WEIGHT in donations gets an EXTRA RECESS! The class that collects the most WEIGHT in donations for the entire school, gets a sock party! The kids were really excited about that!

Also, just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the kind gifts, valentines, and chocolate your children made/gave to me! I was overwhelmed with LOVE, your children are important to me, and I am lucky to have each and every single one of them in my class! =

Book Exchange!

I sent home a note last week about our book exchange!  Please spend no more then $5 on the book, wrap it, and write on  it if it is for a boy or girl! Your child will receive a book in return for bringing one!  I’d like to get them turned in as soon as possible, that way I can buy extras if we do not have enough for all the kids. I think it’s an awesome idea, and who knows your child may find a new interest for reading?!?

~The exchange will take place during our party on 12/21~

Don’t Forget!

Our last day of school is Wednesday, December 21st! It is a half day, dismissal time is at 11:30, with the classroom parties starting at 10:30.
